Infrastructure & Operations

AlmaLinux 9.5
A stable, secure, and enterprise-ready Linux distribution providing the foundation for the VPS environment.

MariaDB 11.4.4
A robust, open-source relational database system, fully compatible with MySQL, used to store all persistent application data. Two separate databases are used: one for WordPress and one for SIPA’s core data.

Process Management
The standard Linux init system used to manage SIPA’s backend processes (API server, main trading loop) as services, ensuring they run continuously, start on boot, and are automatically restarted upon failure.

Git & GitHub
The mandatory system for source code management, collaboration, and tracking changes. A strict Gitflow branching model and Conventional Commits standard are enforced. Pull requests and code reviews are mandatory for merging code.

Python Virtual Environment
Standard Python mechanism used to create isolated environments for project dependencies, ensuring that SIPA’s required package versions do not conflict with system-wide packages or other projects. Environments are deliberately kept outside the main project directory for portability.

Code Quality Tools
Integrated tools to enforce code style (PEP 8 via Black, Flake8) and static type checking (mypy), ensuring code consistency, readability, and reducing potential runtime errors. Passing these checks is mandatory before committing code.

Testing Framework
The chosen framework for writing and running unit, integration, and API tests, ensuring code correctness and reliability. High test coverage is a requirement.

Flexible Trading Modes
SIPA adapts to your comfort level and trading style with three distinct operational modes
